Our sessions
Terms
We work mostly with home ed families to offer a safe space for children 4-11 to learn, grow and play without the restraints of a traditional school environment. Our 3 weekday workshops run as a full day and build on the children's interests through developing projects that naturally link to other topics such as literacy, maths, science and geography but in a more creative and interest led way. We incorporate movement sessions such as yoga, tai chi or mindful walking and will regularly sit around a fire for hot chocolates or cooking sessions. There is plenty of time for free play too.
(Multi-Session and sibling discounts are also available!)
Holiday Club
For those of you whose children attend school we also run 'Holiday Sessions' during school breaks so your child can also enjoy the creativity and wilderness of the space with their friends, whilst meeting some new ones along the way!

Collaborations
We also love a good collaboration so expect to meet other artists, musicians, storytellers, mental health coaches and foragers within the workshops. We will also hold extra sessions if we meet someone exciting we want to skill share with so keep an eye on socials and weekend pop ups. Want to get involved? Just send us a message!

Collaborative Learning

Wild Arts captures each session through a personalised diary, featuring children's interests and learning moments with beautiful photos and quotes. These diaries foster ongoing discussions and activities at home, they can be used as a tool for collaboration with schools and other support networks. Our projects engage children in shared passions, bridging their home experiences with those at our setting, encouraging genuine engagement. Tailoring our approach to each unique child, we invest time to build genuine friendships and trust among facilitators. This is more than a play date; it's a collective journey of learning and growing together with respect, authenticity, and without judgment.

Flexi-schooling

If your child attends school and you are interested in getting involved there is an option where a child spends a part of the week attending school and some time educated at home or at an off-school site. This arrangement needs a formal request from parents to the school, and approval from the school. In such arrangements the child will always remain on the school roll.

Important Information:
Wild Arts is a creative outdoor childcare club, not a school. While we provide enriching, child-led learning experiences and support those within the EYFS, we do not follow the National Curriculum or provide statutory education. Parents remain responsible for their child's education and any legal requirements related to home education.

'Wild Arts' is based at Wild Heart Hill is a shared community space, and while we take great care in assessing and managing risks, we cannot guarantee a completely risk-free environment. Our approach embraces real-life experiences, encouraging children to develop awareness, responsibility, and confidence in navigating the natural world.
